Suse 9.2, SIS 741GX and Xv problem
hi all, I have recently purchased a new motherboard (Asus A7S8X-MX) based on Sis 741GX chipset. All seems to be working (video/sound/nic/USB), but I do have some minor problem: namely, the Xv extension of X11 doesn't work with the video. I encountered this problem with MPlayer (from packman). The default MPlayer uses Xv extension, resulting in *BLUE* windows no matter what file-format it is playing. If I use "-vo" option and specify other format (such as "-vo x11"), the movie plays fine. The only problem with this solution is that re-sizing video-windows does NOT work: it cannot be resized. According to the manual pages in x.org, the Xv extension is enabled by default for Sis chipset. What can I do to fix the "blue" screen problem? any help is very much appreciated,
Is your XF86Config configured right for your video card? For example, some ATI cards requires custom settings for displaying Xv correctly. On Friday 13 May 2005 21:11, Elvis Chen wrote:
