[SuSE Linux] KDE question
Hi all, I've just installed suse 5.3 and I have some problems with KDE. Every time I start KDE there are 4 Kscd opened. How can I avoid this? Another is that, in KDE, a normal user can't access the CD drive, only root can. And this only happens in KDE, in any other wm all users can access the CD. Can a nyone help me? Click on the '0/1' button, in the lower left section of the applications window, that looks like a power switch. This kills the process. Whereas the 'X' in the upper right corner of the window border just iconifies the kscd application. You can also execute: kill `'ps ajx | grep kscd | grep -v grep | awk '{ print $2 }'` The quotes are critical here; the first and last are grave accents and the others are single quotes. Afterwards when you shut down your X session the kscd apps should no longer appear. jpg

You should use the proper button to switch off the cd widget. Look carefully on the cd player widget and you will find out.
