[opensuse] Dual graphics heads, mirrored content?
Hi Folks, I've never had to mess around with dual-headed systems very much, but now I have a requirement to drive a 60-inch monitor in a conference room setting. We'd like to have a desktop with a 24-inch screen on a table, and have that display mirrored to the larger wall-hung monitor. What you see on the small screen should be the same as the large. We don't want the two monitors to make one larger functional workspace, or to have two separate X sessions. We need a mirror. I've seen Windows laptops do this, but nvidia-settings doesn't seem to support it. Anyone have any experience doing this? It is cloned screen in Xorg parlance. Once upon a time it was default, if you don't do anything you will have dual screens cloned, but with card that has VGA and DVI connectors, I discovered that another screen is not used. Try this - it should be enough information to setup dual head in clone mode: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?t=73427 or more general: http://intellinuxgraphics.org/dualhead.html -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
