You did actually look before posting, right? VLC was not to be found under any sub dir. (Please only post to the list and refrain from top-posting. Oh and using gmail is not a valid excuse for either.) -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

When you reply to any message from a Blackberry it doesn't allow you to post anywhere put at the top, is there a way to get around that? I don't think there is with a Blackberry but the person I replied to is using a gmail account and does have the ability to work around it. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I was thinking about myself when I reply to messages from my BB i am concerned that I am breaking neticet even though the phone doesn't allow me to do anything different. -- Kind Regards Stuart Tanner Bolton Linux Delivering openSUSE Retail to the UK 24 Vincent Street Bolton BL1 4SA Tel: +44-1204-410474 Mob: +44-7868-028028 www.bolin.org.uk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

The 3rd paragraph in the: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Mailing_list_netiquette is: "It is pointless to post an email that only warns about posting style. New openSUSE email users will feel unwanted and go away, and that is exactly what we don't want. If you don't want to read an email, then just skip it. If you want to answer, but prefer the posting style described below, state that at the end and link to this article for explanation." Last sentence should be main lead to anyone reading the list. If something is annoying, don't answer, so if you can't influence Blackberry the worst that can happen is that some people will not answer your posts. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Just check what VLC website tells you about how to install VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-suse.html Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yep, I agree. Don't use packman for any VLC packages - use VLC. Don't use VLC for any non-vlc-related packages that are available from packman. If you mix the two repositories you *will* get conflicts that will break things.
