Here's how you can find out the package in which resides an installed file (that did in fact come from an RPM): % rpm -q --whatprovides /usr/bin/iostat sysstat-5.0.6-4 Of course, that doesn't help you if you don't have it installed. There is a search function in the YaST Install & Remove module. It can search in a variety of ways, including in the packages' manifest.
