Mmm. Am I missing something here. You can run Linux on a diskless workstation, booted by a "PROM" .. on a floppy disk, or if you have a EEPROM gizmo, I suppose you can go the whole monty and blow a PROM is some suitable fashion. There is a HOWTO written on this I believe. And another one on setting up a suitable root f/s.. Have a ferret around in the linux docs on your Suse distro, or online at linuxdoc or somewhere. It will use the bootp/dhcp protocol to download the necessary, and create a ram filesystem. Only thing you have to watch out for is swap space (or lack of it) of course. Cliff
