Hi All, Looking for your experiances with Gigabit Ethernet cards in SUSE 9.2 or 9.1. Particularly PCI cards, not so much on-board ships. I am especially interested in the cheaper cards. I have had almost perfect experiances with the Realtek 10/100 cards, and never paid more than $8, and mostly $2.50. Looking forward to your good and/or bad stories! PeterB
Intel seems to work pretty good for PCI card. I have used the single, dual,
and quad port version under SuSe 9.1 without any issues.

That was strange... Sorry about the previous fragment. Mostly I use Netgears, which are RealTek 8169's. SuSE 9.x (Don't know about earlier) support is included, and I've had no problems. I've also got a few ASUS P4P800 motherboards, which have a Yukon gigabit onboard. That works pretty well also. Mike- -- If you can keep your head while those around you are losing theirs... I hate following myself up, but I gave you some bad advice - In my previous I said the realteks had support in SuSE 9.2. They do, but I just looked closely and discovered the drivers are ancient - about 6 updates back. Recompiling the newest drivers from the realtek site now...
