Unable to run search program (9.1 Pro)
When I try to use the Search function of Lifesaver Help (under KDE, SuSE 9.1), I get the uninformative message "Unable to run search program". Searches on Google and the SuSE archives don't yield anything useful. The odd thing is that this is the second SuSE 9.1 system I've installed. This one is an upgrade from 9.0; the other was a fresh install. Help works on the other one but not on this one. Any clues? Paul Abrahams

IIRC Help needs apache, and posibley a database, slq or similar. You may not even have noticed it being installed on a clean install but, perhaps those things weren't chosed to update the 2nd box because they weren't installed origionally.. Different system on 9.0??? Seems to me I remember it feeling strange to me that I would need a webserver to get the HelpSystem to function. But that was a long time ago, and I may have it all bolloxed up and the situation is completely the other way round. -- j -- nemo me impune lacessit
