[opensuse] thunderbird script errors
I am continuously getting "script errors" with thunderbird, and it is becoming quite disruptive to my regular work. It switches focus to a dialog box with the script error while I am in the middle of other things and has the following words: A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Following this is a type of URL or something. This is now happening about every 5 minutes as long as I have thunderbird open. Any ideas on what I should try? Perhaps go back to an earlier version of thunderbird? Here are some of the types of errors I am getting: A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. your mail does not give technical details like TB version, openSUSE version and so on so it's probably hard to help. Therefore the only wild guess is: Do you have an extension called something with "tracker" which is enabled in your addon manager? If so, please disable it and try again. If that does not help, disable other addons for example starting "thunderbird --safe-mode" and try again. His Header shows that he is using Thunderbird 13.0..
openSUSE version

Which is the way to go, apart from starting Thunderbird under a new Profile. The other comment is to find out if his installation of the operating system (assumed to be openSUSE v X) was installed as a clean installation or upgraded via something like "zypper dup". Thank you,
Adam
Thanks to all. I disabled TrackerBird and TestPilot, and that seemed to do the trick. -- G.O.
