I screwed around with the multiple profiles in Yast a while ago and lately found some items that didn't make sense. While running SuSEconfig I got the following message: Executing /sbin/conf.d/SuSEconfig.scpm... SCPM: SCPM is locked. Read manpage in case you expected something else. /sbin/conf.d/SuSEconfig.scpm: line 58: test: =: unary operator expected Updating SCDB This tool can only convert SCDB Version 1.0 and 1.1 to 1.2 Your SCDB has version '' operation failed, reason: db corrupt operation failed, reason: db corrupt operation failed, reason: db corrupt Info: Your original database and profile data has been backuped. Info: Check whether everything is alright, then you can remove the backups Info: calling rm -rf `find /var/lib/scpm -name \*saved.by.SuSEconfig\*` Info: And please read the documentation! So that made no sense to me what so ever. I read the man page and found I needed to remove the lock. So I did. While doing so I noticed I had a lot of profiles. I was thinking of deleting them, but didn't know which ones to dump.
