Suse 9.1 doesn't print colors on Lexmark ColorJet 7000
I have a local attached parallell port printer, Lexmark ColorJet 7000. It can use (costly) black and color or black and photo cartridges. Though this is a legacy GDI Winprinter, it was an advanced and is still a relative capabel CJ-printer for high resolution 1200x1200 photo. I have tried the Suse 9.1 included Lexmark 7000 Foomatic/Lex7000 ppd driver and also tried to download (another?) driver from http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_driver.cgi?driver=lex7000 I can select resolutions from 300x300 up to 1200x1200 (normal 600x600), but the testprints only contain grayscale and no colors. Can someone confirm if colors doesn't work or not on this printer? Thanks, Terje J. Hanssen

You can find your answer at www.linuxprinting.org. Look for the capabilities and degree of support for your printer. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos
