Message-ID: <3A2CA45A.F2DC17CC@alcatel.be> Date: Tue, 05 Dec 2000 09:16:27 +0100 From: Jan Mannekens <Jan.Mannekens@alcatel.be> Subject: KDE2 - first steps Hi all, I installed KDE2 (Suse 6.4) the way it is described on the Suse webpages. And I start it by doing: - init 2 - login as user - WINDOWMANAGER=kde2 - startx The problem I have is that when for example I start an extensive grep in an xterm, I cannot type commands in another xterm. Pressing CTRL-C in the Xterm seems not to stop the job. Any ideas on this? Is it possible to add kde2 in the graphical logon screen where a user can already choose between kde, fvwm,... ? Greetings, Jan.
