[opensuse] zypp slowness after update
Has anyone else noticed that zypp seems to have slowed down after the recent update, or is it just me. It still works, but seems to be running so slow, refreshes are just crawling along. It may be me, it is kinda subjective, maybe something else in my system. Just wondering.... -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 10.3 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

If you're on 10.3 and it's slow building and reading database try recreating it: mv /var/cache/zypp/zypp.db{,old} zypper ref # will be slow first time. Then see if performance is improved. -- Benjamin Weber -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It does seem better. Thanks for the idea. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 10.3 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
