My O/S 390 VM guy added additional disks to my Suse 8 ml 03 Lpar. He edited the USER DIRECT file using the DEDICATE command. On my Suse Side I'm supposed to edit the /etc/zipl.conf file. Does anybody have an example of an O/S390 Suse Linux /etc/zipl.conf file containing extended drives? TIA

I think you need to find a new mailing list. I doubt many S390 people hang out on this one. To be slightly more useful, did you know there is a s390 emulator out there that runs under Intel SUSE Linux. I have used it to run s390 Linux before. It ran extremely slowly. (ie. 20 minutes to boot IIRC) but it did run. If you are interested I can lookup the url where I downloaded it. (GPL I think) Greg -- Greg Freemyer

http://jamesthornton.com/redhat/linux/Enterprise/3/System-Administration-Gui... for an example zipl.conf. The emulator is hercules, tried it ages ago, must check on it again. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer =====LINUX ONLY USED HERE=====
