[opensuse] openSUSE forums webpage has a redirect loop error
Hi, I'm getting redirect loop errors from Chrome 40 and FireFox 36 anytime I'm logged in and access openSUSE forums. If I'm not logged in, I can see the forums. Any advice? This is what I'm doing: 1. https://forums.opensuse.org/forum.php 2. Upper right corner click Login 3. Enter login info, click Login 4. Do you mean a local login account? Yes, from first post "This even happens with a new OS user account, so all new clean FireFox preferences and no add-ons." I can login successfully at novell.com, without complaints, and now too on bugzilla.opensuse.org, but when I go to https://forums.opensuse.org/ I get a redirect error. -- Chris Murphy -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

So I've done clean installs of both openSUSE 13.2 and Fedora 21 and Fedora 22. And in all three of them, this fails. Attached are screenshots of the cookies created just by a single login attempt. jfyi Although I do not frequent the forums, I successfully logged in to https://forums.opensuse.org/ and out in firefox, qupzilla and konqueror and then logged out of forums and onto https://en.opensuse.org/Main Page and then into forums w/o a problem. I've tried this on Chrome as I mentioned in the first post. And I've tried it in both Chrome and FireFox on OS X as well. Curiously, Safari on OS X won't even go to opensuse.org at all. Even after I reset it, it says: Safari can't open the page "www.openseuse.org/en/" because Safari can't load any data from this location. suse.com works fine. I wonder if anyone willing to totally reset their browser or create a new user login wants to try this. I suspect anyone with "good cookie" state this works for, and anyone else gets this misconfigured result. OR there's something very strange going on and it's the result of a collision between a misconfiguration at opensuse.org *and* somehow locally to my ISP or something. -- Chris Murphy -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I've already power cycled the cable modem and the dd-wrt router. So it's not a local caching problem. -- Chris Murphy -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
