Has anyone found a way to fix the missing folders in KDE 3.3 after an upgrade? I did the Yast upgrade and have the following few issues: 1. Missing all screensavers, though I have a few newones now that work. 2. Open office no longer starts. I can't seem to remember the command from bash either or what the path is to create to. 3. KDE Kernel Configurator error: "no hardware arch. specified..." and nothing to select. Thom Nuzum Washington DC (Veteran for Kerry)

This was on the KDE list a week or so ago. It works. Rich nobody brought it up, so I'll give you a workaround that Manfred Tremmel mentioned on the suse-linux (German) list: You have to edit file /usr/X11R6/bin/OOo-template. In line 1339 test "${WINDOWMANAGER:0-3}" = "kde" && OOo_WIDGETS_SET=kde put a "#" (comment sign) at the beginning of the line, and everything should work again. This affects the look of OOo, it doesn't use the KDE style anymore, but it works.

Thank You for the openoffice tip. I need to check online for these archived threads I suppose. Thom On Wednesday 01 September 2004 16:51, C. Richard Matson wrote:

and easier search of suse lists: google.com/linux include 'lists:suse-kde' as one of the search terms alternately: lists:suse-linux-e lists:suse-multimedia-e etc..... -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos
