Hi all.
Is anyone having problems with the nvidia update in yast (suse 10.0)? This kills x everytime I install that update. Everything works fine until then. The machine boots to runlevel 5, but x won't start. I'm running an Nvidia Riva TNT2 Model 64 card.
Many thanks,
Jim
I saw the option in YaST, but I always prefer to get drivers directly from Nvidia. I used the driver and installer from Nvidia's site and it has worked fine for me. I have a GeForce2 MX400, no problems so far. Hope this helps. - Dave

Hi Dave, thanks. I have seen this option discussed before, but I understand that you have to reinstall this driver everytime you update your kernel. Does that get to be a pain? Jim
