[SLE] SLES 10 Online Registration problems
Hi Guys I have previously installed SLES10 (x86_64) beta on a SunFire machine and am now trying to update it to the final release. When I go into "Novell Customer Center Configuration" in YaST it launches w3c and asks for some registration information. (Nasty hack in my opinion.. Why not just use the novell.com login like before) The web page loads and I filled in and submit the required information including and activation key. A new screen loads saying that I should quit w3m and continue the procedure inside yast. I do so, and the continue button again launches w3m. I quit w3m once more... When I continue again I get "An error occurred while connecting to the server." The Details button shows: "ERROR: 500: Internal Server Error" Relaunching "Novell Customer Center Configuration" gives the same error, and "Online Update" still shows no available packages.. Not very classy guys :-( Any idea how to fix it? -- Peter Nixon http://www.peternixon.net/ PGP Key: http://www.peternixon.net/public.asc

Can you launch the graphical YAST NCC frontend (it will run Firefox). Ciao, Marcus -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

No. I don't have X installed on any of my SLES machines, and indeed many of the Sun's are installed/configured via serial console and then later by ssh. (Much easier than finding/connecting a monitor) Cheers -- Peter Nixon http://www.peternixon.net/ PGP Key: http://www.peternixon.net/public.asc
