Is anyone using the dvd-ram drive with suse ... I purchased the drive hoping I could get it working with suse 7.2 but I can't find references to the drive in any of the documents. I wasted a lot of money ...

Make sure you have UDF filesystem support enabled, and try mounting specifying 'udf' as the fs type(is the drive IDE?). However, I don't know whether this will work... it's worth a try. On 6 Sep 2001, Rochester Payne wrote:

That drive should work fine and SuSE officially supports it. Try this Google search (a SuSE press release comes up as one of the links): http://www.google.com/search?q=dvd-ram%20linux - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7mMl4+FOexA3koIgRAodhAJ49vZqZCht6rcx/7ymKPZJXwzH6gACfcKUM CzBwbAsUjRBWqznC3p136KE= =FAnj -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
