Hello Everyone; I just installed 8.0 and everything went fairly well. I have a logitech ifeel usb mouse. I went to configure the mouse like I have in the past and ran into some snags. First I went I did a ctrl+alt+f1 Then I did an init3 on the command line. Once having done this I typed in sax2 ( so I can make modifications to the mouse configuration) sax2 attempted to start up and asked me if I want 3d acceleration I said no then hit enter. I had a little suprise the monitor went black and then I got a source out of range error and I had to hard boot my computer. I haven't not had this happen before so I am not sure what to do. I do have a working kde desktop. Since I have a working desktop I assumed all the correct modules have been loaded to be able to use sax2. Any suggetions on how I can get sax2 to run so I can make the changes I desire on my mouse. Thanks for all you help bob
I had the same type problems with SAX2 and NVIDIA with 7.3, since then, I boot to run level three to run it and have had no problems since. Did not even try to run it run level 5 in 8.0 yet. Might work since I have the NVIDIA drivers installed.
