Kaffeine was most likely chosen over MPlayer because being a KDE-based GUI it gives a more seemless look to SUSE's KDE desktop. I guess SuSE got too many complaints- for legal reasons, they can only ship a broken version. If you want precompiled packages, get it from packman: http://packman.links2linux.de/?action=128 Charles -- Linux is obsolete (Andrew Tanenbaum)
