Brandon, You are going to have to edit httpd.conf. I am using SuSE7.1, but I imagine that you will find httpd.conf in /etc/httpd. Open this using the editor of your choice. You will notice that httpd.conf is divided into several sections. Find section two, which ought to be labeled something like ## section 2: 'main' server configuration Under this section you should find an uncommented line that says DocumentRoot "/somedirectory/somewhere" Change this to the directory that is going to contain the documents that you want on your site. I have mine set to DocumentRoot "/usr/local/httpd/htdocs" It is important that you do not end this line with a forward slash. Also, looking just a little farther along in httpd.conf, you should come to a line that looks something like the one below. The uncommented lines specify which page Apache will display when someone first accesses your site. # DirectoryIndex: Name of the file or files to use as a pre-written HTML # directory index. Separate multiple entries with spaces. # <IfModule mod_dir.c> DirectoryIndex index.html </IfModule> Remember that you will need to make the above change(s) while logged in as root. After you are done with the editing, simply save the file, and then restart Apache. If you haven't yet tried it, I might suggest using Vi Improved. I think you will like the way that it displays the syntax for you, making finding whatever you are looking for a lot easier. I hope that this helps, at least a little but. You might also want to try the Apache web site, at apache.org. There is a lot of useful info there. Please keep us all informed of how things are going. Kevin
