[opensuse] KDE repository problem?
I had problems with the KDE 4.5.2 download the last few days, my automatic update downloading before kdelibs and others were completed, but I think NOW I have it all. I think. However, as I was downloading I got to the point where my pull-down menus went funny. I thought at first that this was a result of not having the kdelibs right. Now, when I think I have a complete download, I still have that problem. What happens is that the pulldown doesn't display the list, its either blank or in some cases just a mass of confusing pixelation Now to be fair, this might not be KDE at all, it might be X. I see in my logs a few X server modules including ones or video 2010-10-05 16:00:58|install|xorg-x11-driver-video|7.5-101.5|i586||xorg|390edc986ef4ac7b03197dd9d5348bd161497a7b8c90fd439ebfd1777a43100e 2010-10-05 20:01:51|install|xorg-x11-driver-video|7.5-102.1|i586||xorg|813da0caf1bf172411ab85b2589d7112c08f023c3bfbaea2b4a3c84fb6866724 2010-10-06 07:04:43|install|xorg-x11-driver-video|7.5-103.1|i586||xorg|c254fda9d5a73b1b63a8de94976f12340aa933e1d9896b9f0b9a2ba483371ccc What did I do that screwed this up? Oh, and I had a problem with kdm resetting to prevent login. I've changed the styles in 'systemsettings' and wolf-fenced this down. KDE applications are all OK, the pulldowns render clean. Its the 'other' applications - Thunderbird, Firefox, Openoffice - where the menus are all messed up. So this really isn't a KDE4 per KDE4 problem.
