Its just a data file, no longer an audio file once you rip to mp3s. You can you xcdroast or k3b. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen

grip Download lame from sourceforge.net first because suse 8.2 does not provide it, and grip as delivered only really does ogg format. Download lame tar -zxvf lame-x.x.x.x.x (whatever its name is) cd lame.x.x.x.x ./configure make make install Then fire up grip -- _____________________________________ John Andersen

Yes, but to play in a regular audio cd player you must convert back to wavs first. *************************************************** Powered by SuSE Linux 8.0 Professional KDE 3.0.0 KMail 1.4 This is a Microsoft-free computer Bryan S. Alot of commandline mp3players can output to a file. Look at "mpg123 -h". -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation

I use XMMS, set to the diskwriter output plugin, configured to make the files in the directory I set up for making images in XCDRoast. It will create the necessary .wav files. Then, start up XCDRoast, create CDs, write tracks, add and arrange, then write the tracks. Well its kinda clunky, but you put the mp3s in a dir and fire up that script and its spozed to do the whole thing. I haven't done it in about 6 months but it worked last time i tried it. Your way might be just as easy. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen
