Hi! i installed openSUSE 10.1, and it works mostly fine. I want to move the screen completely like at the install in X and Y Coordinates for some pixels left and some pixels down. I could not find this in Yast or in another Tool. How can i change it? Second Question: I want to change the start screen from graphic to text to show the kernel informations and module loads. (i can get it by pressing ESC button) I want it a a default without pressing ESC, but i could not find some like this in YAST. Thx a lot! by H.K.

Edit - as root - /boot/grub/menu.lst: Press <Alt>-<F2>, enter 'kdesu kwrite /boot/grub/menu.lst' Change the first occurrence of "splash=silent" to "splash=verbose", and save the file. Reboot to see that it worked. It doesn't go directly to your question, but you can also enter "splash=silent" or "splash=verbose" as boot parameters when booting to specify the behavior for that boot only, though I'm not sure how valuable that ability is, since you could just hit <esc> to show the verbose messages.
