I seem to have a problem with NFS server on SUSE 9.2 on the AMD64. It seems if I have rw,sync, rootsquash turned on the exported volume, the server will freeze and lock up the machine when you try to mount the exported volume from another machine. If I just put on rw as the option, the system will not lockup when I dothe mount. Does anyone else have the same problem? -- Joseph Loo jloo@acm.org

I don't have the problem, but the option is root_squash and is the default, as are sync and rw. Dylan

i don't have a 64bit machine but i can verify that this export... /home *(rw,sync,root_squash) mounts fine on a 32bit suse 9.2 client/server combination.
