the latest 'updates' in 11.0. The cure is to roll-back to the prior versions. for 11.0 x86_64, the packages required are:

Ed, You can go ahead and safely update dbus and ConsoleKit *as long as* you have *not* used the openSuSE Build Service KDE:Backports to update NetworkManager.
