psstfix stopped autostarting at boot
I compiled postfix from source with mysql support. I installed cyrus I installed sasl postfix no longer starts at boot time. The /etc/init.d/cyrus file looks fine, but it was created new with the compile and install. The rc3.d postfix links are in place. No boot errors are reported. It looks like postfix is ignored at boot time. I'm not sure how to debug this. Any help appreciated. -- Jim Sabatke Hire Me!! - See my resume at http://my.execpc.com/~jsabatke Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.
Hello, You can get postfix-2.1.1 with mysql support from rpms I usually build ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-gbv/rpms/SuSE_9.0 the rpms with mysql support are the ones with '_my' in the release number. Anyway is a good exercise to compile some often ;) Guillermo On Sunday 09 May 2004 23:01, Jim Sabatke wrote:

Oops, I meant the /etc/init.d/postfix file looks fine. BTW, cyrus does not start at boot either, again with no errors reported.

The /etc/init.d/postfix fix doesn't really start postfix. It would be the scripts below that line in rc5.d etc that would start it. Use YAST to check your System ---> runlevels and see if postfix is enabled. If not, enable it.
