Is there an ISO file posted for download on SuSE's site? Haven't found it. An ISO file is a disk image. You need to burn that onto a CDR. I use EasyCD Creator, that has an option to load a disk image. The iso is the disk image. At 02:48 PM 4/21/2000 , you wrote:

The URL was posted a couple of days ago by Lenz: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/evaluation-6.4.iso Although it would be much better if you could find it on one of the mirrors...

Have fun, Chris -- Apologies to everyone who has been waiting for replies off me over the past few weeks - I've been away from my computer. I'll try to catch up with my email over the coming days, but don't be surprised if you get a reply in a month's time... __ _ -o)/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ Chris Reeves /\\ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / ICQ# 22219005 _\_v __/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

I thought EasyCD was only available for Windows. I like the using a loopback device idea but how do you burn an image under linux?

Two ways that I know of: 1. Burn a CD using it as a raw image, or 2. On a existing system, mount the file as a ISO9660 filesystem: bash> mount -t iso9660 -o ro,loop=/dev/loop0 cd_image /cdrom -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
