1. Running as "root?" Hi,
when having logged on as root to kde and starting ethereal - everything works fine) when having logged on as USER to kde and starting ethereal from the Console after obtaining root access right : Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
2. check that the interface under capture options is correct.
interface is set to : eth0 since I'm using ADSL via a switch. But how can ethereal be started by a USER then ? best regards C. Emden
