Hotplug support in SuSE's 2.4.x kernels
Is anyone aware if SuSE compiles in Hotplug support for their kernels? I'm running 2.4.16 right now and I don't know where to start debugging with the kernel or my hotplug functions. Thanks in Advanced. Jonathan Paul Cowherd Linux and Java Administrator Genscape, Inc. Email: jonathan.cowherd@genscape.com Office: (502) 583-3730
Dear Janathan, SuSE 8.0 2.4.18-64GB-SMP here and it has the hot-plug scripts; I see them run in /var/log/messages but I am having problems with USB Mass storage units. The sys sees them, seems to set them up correctly but a psuedo-scsi device entry is never created, so the device cannot be mounted. No one seems to have a clue as to why.
