[opensuse] stop compositing via script?
Hi List, While getting familiar with KDE, I came across some programm (game DROD) that doesn't like when compositing is on for KWin. I know I can suspend it temporarily via keyboard shortcut Shift-Alt-F12, but as the game is started via a shell script anyhow to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH etc. it would be nice it there was a way to do this suspend automatically from the script. Is there a way to do this? I tried googling, but if you don't really know what phrase you are looking for.... (this is KDE 4.4 on OS 11.2) Thanks, Pit -- Dr. Peter "Pit" Suetterlin http://www.astro.su.se/~pit Institute for Solar Physics Tel.: +34 922 405 590 (Spain) P.Suetterlin@royac.iac.es +46 8 5537 8507 (Sweden) Peter.Suetterlin@astro.su.se -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

"Dbus" is the magic word you probably missed. So, google for: dbus kwin compositing E.g., http://osdir.com/ml/wine-bugs/2009-07/msg02648.html HTH Jan -- When working toward the solution of a problem, it always helps if you already know the answer. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
