Why not buy a laptop that's designed to dissipate the heat it generates? I can put my HP compaq notebook on bedsheets and run it for 24hrs without "overheating" (when it overheats it shuts off). I've heard this complaint before so either you laptop can't dissipate its own heat in which case its crap or its just dirty... open it up clean all the loose dust and ALL the dust from the fans & heatsinks.
Whether it dissipates it's heat or not, computers tend to run better when cool. The more heat you can remove from the case, the better. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
