Do you use the same user loggin on both machines? Here's my smbmount command mbmount //fortunet2/source /fortunet/s -U win95usr -P win95pw -g 101 -f 770 -d 770 the machines is //fortunet2 (duh) and the directory share is named source. The actually directory is named something horrendous like c:\show95a\class32a\dformnw\. and it's mounted on directory /fortunet/s win95usr is not my real user name but is used for example... win95pw is not the password but used for example... 101 is the group to assign to the directory and -f -d both deal with permissions on the files... since Win doesn't have them.. they're faked with those options On 13-Mar-98 zentara wrote:
Yeah I tried mount and it wouldn't work. I tried smbmount and I did get it to ask for a password; then every password I tried failed.
