I have installed java 1.6 but when I launch Balazs' program at http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~kegl/research/pcurves/implementations/ SuSE reminds me that I do not have the plug-ins. If I click on SuSE message I am directed to a web site http://java.com/en/download/linux_manual.jsp?locale=en&host=java.com from where to download the plug-ins (???) Here there are 4 choices (see attached picture). I do not know which one to pick for SuSE 10.3 ??? My Linux box is 64-bits but the comment on the web page seems to suggest to download the 32-bit version. I am terribly confused. I am afraid the 32-bit plugins will clash with the already installed java 1.6 ??? Thank you in advance for your help. Regards, Maura Edelweiss M.

Thank you.
How do ai uninstall Java 1.6 ?
Using Yast I just delete all installed java 1.6 files
? Is there a unique command that allows me to clean up
all Java 1.6 64-bit ramifications ?
I'm always shaking about uninstallations.
Maura

If you want to use Java puligins, you must install 32-bit Java. Maybe you have installed 64-bit Java, which doesn't have plugins. so, first, uninstall 64-bit Java, then install 32-bit Java.

Was the java an rpm? If so, then rpm -evv should do the trick. If not, that's a good example of why it's always better to install proper rpm packages than random tarballs. Joe -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
