[opensuse] Nautilus has not maximize minimize just closing button
Hello, As the subject suggest, I wonder why Nautilus version: GNOME nautilus 3.10.1 has just the X button (closing) available on its window. Are there configuration settings to add minimize/maximize button as well? Thanks! A double click on top bar of Nautilus will maximize or minimize that window. Another approach is right click on top bar of Nautilus and it will show these and other options. I suspect the maximize and minimize buttons depends on the GNOME theme. That's it do not show them on Nautilus bar when activated on Tweak Tools. This will need further investigation or someone with the proper knowledge. Hi Ricardo, I switched from several of Tweak-Tool's Aspect options: Window, GTK+, Shell Theme, but nothing affects the Nautilus behaviour. Thanks. I did not try this to solve that buttons issue. Despite it makes sense. On terminal type: gsettings set org.gnome.shell.overrides button-layout ':minimize, maximize, close' Hope it helps. No, I have missing buttons *JUST on Nautilus*, all the other apps have it. It is something specific in Nautilus which is not configured/enabled. Thanks! Nautilus is using CSD (Client Side Decoration). So it is up to Nautilus to implement these buttons. Apparently, none of 3.10 native applications that support CSD do. http://worldofgnome.org/csds-came-to-stay-in-gnome-3-10/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Sorry. I misunderstood. I believed is a general behavior on all windows and apps. I am afraid it is beyond my skills.

OMG! Thanks for that info. Despite I am OK working on, there is plenty people feeling frustrated wihout those buttons clearly visibles. It seems the GNOME developers are following guidelines not so easy for some users. I hope we can find a balanced point to work on it. Thanks Andrey! I dislike this CSD behaviour, I prefer main config which rules all the app or at least a CSD setting menu in order I select what I want. Well, in theory they are using the same toolkit and should be configurable by themes. In practice ... http://mmoya.org/blog/2013/11/16/to-left-or-not-to-left-gnome/

If you really need those windows buttons, badly. Try this first moving forward. Did you install these Gnome extensions (Window Buttons)? https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/426/window-buttons/ Regards, -- Ricardo Chung | Member openSUSE Projects -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
