Hi, I use Suse 8.0 with KDE 3.0 & Kernel 2.4.18. I add a button to start file manager on the panel, but when i shut down the pc; it is gone. How can i add a file manager starter button which don't get lost? There was a bug for that in 8.0 search the http://sdb.suse.de on the other hand using the system as a normal user is a better way when you need root access you can do so by su, sudo , su1 or sux (graphical mode) -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx

I strongly suggest you upgrade your KDE. An unstable beta version was shipped with SuSE 8.0. Later versions like 3.0.4, ... are quite stable. -- Alexandr.Malusek@imv.liu.se
