Hi all, i've cloned (bit by bit) an ide hdd with suse 9.0 and reiser using a commercial tool for hard disk immaging. before cloning from yast i've tried unsucesfully to create a rescue disk. (i've changed the drive and many different floppy also ) but the creation process fails everytime. now the newly created image of the disk doesn't boot it only displays me a the word GRUB at boot time. how can i boot and repair the grub startup? i need something that can boot and that can handle the reiser fs. can i do that from the dvd used for the installation (just borrowed to a friend) or some other live system such Knopix? if i find the way to boot i'll try to mount the root partition to be able to issue the command grub-install /dev/hda1 --recheck. Is this enough? some other smart way to be able to boot the disk? thank you Mik __________________________________________________________________ Tiscali ADSL SENZA CANONE: Attivazione GRATIS, contributo adesione GRATIS, modem GRATIS, 50 ore di navigazione GRATIS.
