To stay on topic ( :) ).. the distro the author used in preparing the article is SuSE Pro 9.2

I agree completely (and I use it in much the same way). It was good in 9.1, but the addition of the little switcher application makes it really smooth. That's definitely one of the nicest improvements in 9.2 :) -- Bill Gallafent.
