Has anyone successfully used Microsoft Teams on 15.2/KDE? I have tried both with a browser and installing the Teams app, but neither works. I hate to have to use Windows to run it. I have no problems with Skype, Meet or Jitse, just Teams. tnx jk

Runs well on 15.1, 15.2 and MS for ~year. Nothing special done, just installed the package from their repo. -- Vojtěch Zeisek https://trapa.cz/ Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux https://www.opensuse.org/

It keeps asking me to sign up, even though I already have an account. Right now I'm looking at a screen with a button to sign up for Teams, but at the top right, there's a link to sign out. At the bottom, it say to check my email for a link to start using Microsoft Teams, but I've never seen such a link. I get the same thing whether I just start Teams or click on a link for a meeting.

I have installed that with 15.1 for my studies with the Microsoft repository. That has worked after the upgrade to 15.2, too. I don't need that any more...

Try deleting all its data, it really doesn't like swapping between / changing accounts. I use Teams within two different "organisations" but the app only ever allows the use of one organisation once you log in once it'll only ever let you use that account unless you clear everything. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B

I just uninstalled Teams on my ThinkPad and deleted the 2 folders in .config and the same problem remains. I am again asked to sign up for Teams, even though I have an account which works in Windows and on my Android tablet, as well as in the Edge browser. I'll have to use the browser for a meeting I have this morning, but I'll keep my ThinkPad booted into Windows, just in case.

The problem with that is I also did a fresh install on my ThinkPad yesterday, which I had never Teams on before. I got the same problem. However, I can use Teams directly in the Edge browser, so I'll have to do it that way. If all else fails, I could use my Android tablet or (yuck) Windows on my ThinkPad.

You can become a team owner on the Microsoft Teams, can't you? In such a case, you can use teams only within the scope of contract between Microsoft and your organization. And, Microsoft control your behavior with your information on the server, no record in your system. To avoid this issue, 1. install teams in another PC (I have't tried on Virtual Machine, though) or 2. install zoom, or webex in your system. The problem is I was sent a link for a meeting, so I have no influence over the organization. I can get Teams to work in the Edge browser, but not the app. As I mentioned earlier, I have used Meet, Skype and Jitsi without problem. In fact, tomorrow morning, I will be meeting with some friends, as we do every week. We'll be using Jitsi.

I regularly switch between three different organisations (my employer's and two schools), and never had to delete anything. You do have to sign out from one org. before signing on to the net one, though. Ph. We have it (me and my wife - she uses it daily) on 5 computers (now 15.2 and recent TW), mainly using the app. When I connect to teams of different organisations, I sometimes use Firefox (it works despite very strict ad blocking) or Vivaldi, no problem at all, apart of IMHO terrible UX. ;-) -- Vojtěch Zeisek https://trapa.cz/ Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux https://www.opensuse.org/

I clicked on Sign Out and then logged in again. I get this message: "You're not on Teams yet, but you can set it up for your organization." It then wants me to set up an account. I have an account, which works in the Windows and Android versions of the client.

I've been using Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.7556 (64-bit) on Leap 15.2, not because I want to, but because I have to. It's usable, but doesn't work well with KDE's virtual desktops, it's not well-behaved. Regards, Lew

I've given up on the Linux version. I installed the Windows version in a W10 virtual machine. It seems to work OK there, as it did on my ThinkPad in native W10. Even on Windows it's annoying.
