I do. One of my accounts with non trivial traffic is POP only. I use a fetchmail process to get mail from that account and put it into my local Dovecot server so that I can access it from my thunderbird using IMAP. it worked just fine. Not complicated at all.
This doesn't have any thing to do with "printers" as the subject line says...
I think you've got messages confused in this threading. I replied to a message whose $SUBJ was "Re: [opensuse] Re: how to copy imap folders and subfolders with thunderbird" and you've quoted the opening lines of my reply above but don't have me in the "wrote"" list.
Curious.
I know you did. My ISP INBOX indexing is apparently borked, Thunderbird going nuts. it started after I created one filter rule at the ISP, and did one INBOX tree copy to local folder via drag and drop, as mentioned earlier in this thread. Second error like this today. Both Thunderbird and Alpine had the same error, meaning the problem was not local. Now it is only Thunderbird whic had an error. I have now moved all the contents of my INCOX to a local folder using Alpine, and let's hope the issue is purged. I should be in bed... - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
