I remember. If I remember correctly, here *is* indeed a problem with ALSA working together with late 2.4.x kernels. Go to the ALSA homepage, download the actual ALSA, compile it for your new kernel and it should work...
Indeed. I am using the ALSA 0.9.10beta drivers with the latest Mantel kernel and I have experienced no problems. Charles -- The box saids Windows XP or better, so I installed Linux
