I assume that by nut-monitor you mean program upsmon. This is the daemon which takes the decision to shutdown a system when it reaches status OB-LB (on battery and low battery). If you do not have this program, how will you order the shutdown?
NUT-Monitor is a graphical user interface to monitor and manage devices connected to the Network UPS Tools server.
Are you referring to upsmon or some other program? Roger
