rpm and deb are for package management
Oh I see. Does it mean that packages are same? I mean there are packages on the servers of Linux. Redhat branch (openSUSE, fedora, etc...) uses .rpm to fetch them while Debian branch (debian, ubuntu, mint, etc...) use deb to fetch them, both uses the same packages but to fetch them they use different tools - 1) rpm and second 2) deb, is - Hide quoted text - it like this?
*sigh* You don't need to bother with this, Tyro. Focus on getting your system installed and running under openSuse with the openSuse distributions. Going down avenues like this without the basics in place will just confuse you and make other matters more difficult to understand FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS -- I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody -- Bill Cosby -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
