I have a printing problem with no diagnostic messages and no clue where to look fot help: The system is a dual boot SuSE 9.3/10.0 x86-64, updated to the latest version thru YOU. Connected at a USB port is an HP Photosmart 7350 printer, properly recognized and installed in both 9.3 and 10.0, also properly seen and installed (through samba) by other computers in the small home network, as well as virtual machines running thru vmaware (4.52 and 5.5) installed in both the 9.3 and the 10.0 sides of the system! The problem is that whenever a printing job is started from a network machine or a vmware virtual machine, only half the job is completed. At some point near the halfway point the printer stops, the printer que shows "processing", print manager shows a healthy printer "accepting jobs". No error logs show up because the system shows "normal". I have tried to find info on unfinished printing jobs in both samba and cups, but all the searches just show too much irrelevant information. I suspect that the problem is on the cups side, as once in a while the printing job will hang when printing from within linux, but that is a rare occurence, when going thru samba it happens every time. Any help will be appreciated. d.
