If your old e-mail address is no longer viable it will start bouncing which will cause it to be dropped from the e-mail server. Just subscribe with your new address.
I have a similar yet different problem. I have subscribed to an e-mail address that can receive e-mails, but from which I can no longer send e-mails. So I get the e-mails, but I cannot unsubscribe.
most of the time, mailing list do rely on the from field of the mail, that is what you write yourself, so you can set your old email in the from field and send the mail from the new provider (not tested)
Uh no, that's not quite right - the mailing list manager relies on the
email envelope, not the From: field.
You can set the envelope sender address like this:
mail -r <sender> <recipient>
sendmail -oi -f <sender>
