Hello all! :)
I've had 8.0 for about 2 weeks and love it. Have only had a couple of issues but we'll handle them one at a time. This first one is pretty important, because Evolution is a vital package.
I have upgraded my personal machine from 7.3 to 8.0 and no problems. However, on 3 other machines here that I have done a fresh install, Evolution will not allow me to add any contacts. It appears to be configured for a LDAP server connection to handle all contacts; but, there too we see an error! When I pointed one of the clients at a server here on the network, it had the settings stored, but never brought any info up. Then when I exited and restarted Evolution, the LDAP settings were gone! :^/
I've checked permissions on every file I can think of on all these "fresh install" machines, and found nothing unusual about any of them. This leads me to believe that during the Evolution compilation someone left out an option, or disabled it (accidentally). :^/
Can anyone shed any light on this PLEEEEEEEZ ?!

I'm out of my mind right now, but please feel free to leave a message.
You could try the rpm from this guys site: http://www.usr-local-bin.org/ It has version 1.0.3 packaged for Suse.
