I have enabled Network Configuration via Network Manager (instead of traditional ifup, through Yast). Nonetheless, the Network Manager options for Wireless and Wireless Broadband are greyed out (not configurable thro' Network Manager in the System Tray - [1] ). Have tried re-enabling 'Network Manager' from Yast, but still those options are greyed-out.
Thanks for any help,
Jay

PS: I am CCing to both lists as not sure whether it is a KDE 4.3.1 issue or an openSUSE 11.1 problem.
What kind of wireless card do you have?

It's a Huawei EC1260 Wi-Max (Wireless Broadband) USB Card, gets detected and auto-configured in Ubuntu 9.04 & Linux Mint 7 by the Network Manager. Note- However, I am using Linux kernel-2.6.28-15-generic on Ubuntu 9.04, whereas it is kernel-2.6.27.19-pae in openSUSE 11.1.
