It's coming. For example, Comcast, in the U.S. has been providing IPv6 for a couple of years now. Telus, in Canada announced it a few months back.
I see IPv6 hits on our hosted websites every day, a lot more than a few years back. According to the google stats: http://www.google.ch/ipv6/statistics.html some 10% of clients are IPv6.
