I am wondering what package would have required me to install systemd-logger? I didn't do it intentionally. I don't know if it is better or not. Now that I have limited the file size, it seems to be running more smoothly.
I suspect systemd-logger is the default unless you opt to install a syslog daemon. {rsyslog,syslog-ng}
Yes, it should.
It is a good thing to keep persistent logs, and they should be either the systemd journal, as is the default now, or syslog, as was the default some time ago.
2 GB of logs is quite big. It means that there is something that talks a lot.
But you need to remember that the journal is not one log but many and it's size contains all those. Get the sum of all the individual logs journal contains and 2 GB is not so much. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
